Today they meet customer needs with a wide variety of space saving products and materials, including wood and painted furniture. The Berg goal remains the same as it did in 1984 - to design and manufacture furniture with the greatest flexibility while offering the most moderately priced investment to their quality retailers and their customers.

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
Our daughter LOVES this bed. So do we. It looks great and has lots of drawer space. You can switch which side the stairs and lower bunk are on to suit your room. The only thing I don't like is the cheap plastic drawer knobs. We bought knobs to replace them. And you don't get all the cubby space under the stairs that you see in the photo. There's just one small cubby at the bottom rather than two.

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
Great product! Space saving and very sturdy. Assembly is very straight forward but requires power tools. However, I assembled by myself with a battery operated drill/screwdriver which took about 5 hours, but with help (and the right tools) I imagine it would be much faster. :-)
Nonetheless, it looks great and my 4 year old daughter loves it!

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
We bought this set of bunkbeds for a little bedroom (11X13) that is being shared by two of our children. Because this bed has nine drawers total, there was no need to put a dresser in a room that is so small. We also love the heighth of the beds because they are not as tall and overpowering as the regular bunkbeds. Also, the assembly was so easy. The hardest part was finding the next number of box we needed because we didn't have the delivery guys put them in order. My husband and I spent about three hours total assembling these beds. These beds are very well constructed and very solid .

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
the bed is wonderful, my 3 year old daughter loves it. setting it up was a nightmare...it weighs so darn much I could never have done it alone, so be prepared to have help around. Other than the size and weight it is a good purchase for small kids who need a bunkbed, but also need safety features.

My girls are 2 and 5 and want to share a room. These bunk beds are perfect -- safe, attractive, and functional. I love the integrated drawers, which minimize the need for any additional furniture in the room.

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
Use this for my 2 & 4 yr old children... they LOVE it, makes going to bed fun! Utilizes their small room perfectly and calms my worries with the stairs and lower top bunk as opposed to a "classic" bunk bed design!!
I would recommend this bed, just order it from a different company!!
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was EXTREMELY delayed... over a month!! But they charged my credit card the day it left for delivery so I paid interest on the bed before I even received it!!
I tracked the shipment from philly, to NJ to the NORTHWEST... back to philly... ugh!! Waited patiently in NY for it to arrive.
Of course, after all that travel... the bed was damaged... but I was so grateful to finally have it in my possession I put it together as is and hoped for the best!!
Called customer service DAILY but no one could ever help me... they referred to the fact that it was in the delivery company's hands, not theirs... now they keep harassing me for a review... so here's the truth!! :)

Comments about Berg Furniture Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs:
I gave this bed to my son for his sixth birthday. I like that it isn't as tall as most bunk beds. The stairs make it very easy and safe to climb to the top bunk and the added storage drawers they offer are excellent. The bed is sturdy and well made and comes mostly assembled. It still takes a while to put together.
I also have a one year old and didn't think about his being able to climb the stairs to the top bunk, while he wouldn't be able to use a ladder. Now we have to watch him when he goes in his brothers room, to make sure he doesn't climb up and jump off the top bunk.
